About Van-Plugs

Van-Plugs was created by Lee Worth and Paul Munn with a shared passion for vans, engineering and finding better ways to do things.

The idea behind Van-Plug came from spotting a problem that many van owners and converters will recognise: adding a mains hook-up to a van often meant drilling into bodywork, fitting bulky sockets or leaving cables and fittings that simply didn't look right.

Lee and Paul believed there had to be a better way.

So they set out to create a solution that would do more than simply provide power. It needed to look like it belonged on the vehicle from the factory, be practical to use, protect the van from the elements and be straightforward to install.

That vision became Van-Plug — a discreet 240V or Solar electric hook-up system designed to integrate into the van's existing styling. Rather than adding an obvious external socket, the Van-Plug sits behind the vehicle's factory badge, keeping the connection hidden when it isn't in use and preserving the clean lines of the van.

From the beginning, Lee and Paul have focused on doing things properly. Van-Plugs are designed and tested in the UK, with an emphasis on precision, durability and a factory-quality finish. The system is designed to bolt into the vehicle without unnecessary drilling or adhesives, while remaining sealed against water ingress when closed.

What started with one idea has developed into a growing range covering many of the UK's most popular vans, including Volkswagen Transporters and Crafters, Ford Transits and Transit Customs, Mercedes Sprinters, Fiat Ducatos, Maxus Deliver 9s and Vauxhall Vivaro models.

But the ambition has always been bigger than one product.
